Duties and responsibilities ↓
  • Produce review missions and review compilations to ensure compliance with professional standards.
  • Meet with customers to assess their needs and propose solutions adapted to their situation.
  • Supervise the daily activities of accounting technicians, ensuring the quality, accuracy and timeliness of deliverables.
  • Ensure an equitable distribution of tasks and mandates based on everyone's skills and organizational priorities.
  • Provide ongoing coaching to promote professional development, including coaching sessions, constructive feedback, and performance monitoring.
  • Identify the training needs of accounting technicians and organize workshops, training and/or mentoring sessions.
  • Participate in the annual evaluation of technicians, identifying strengths and areas for improvement to align individual goals with the needs of the firm.
  • Foster a collaborative work environment, encouraging open communication and knowledge sharing within the team.
  • Maintain a proactive relationship with customers by ensuring constant and personalized follow-up.
  • Review corporate tax returns to ensure accuracy and compliance with tax requirements.
  • Participate in the review of tax returns for individuals and trusts using the Taxprep software.
  • Review and improve internal processes to increase efficiency, reduce errors, and optimize workflow.
  • Ensure that all certification processes and tax records meet current regulations and compliance standards.
  • Be informed of new accounting and tax standards.
  • Organize training for the certification team to ensure practices that comply with the latest rules.
  • Participate in industry events, conferences, or workshops to promote the company, strengthen its network and identify opportunities for collaboration.
  • Collaborate on all other files according to the needs of the organization.

Qualifications required ↓
  • DESS in accounting
  • CPA professional title
  • Minimum seven (7) years of experience in an accounting firm
  • Mastery of Microsoft Office 365
  • Experience with Caseware and TaxPrep
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and autonomy.
